Evacuation from Lebanon to Cyprus

Cyprus being 5 hours away from Lebanon by boat has become a safety haven for those fleeing the war in Lebanon.

80,000 foreign nationals are expected to be transfered from Lebanon to Cyprus. Cyprus is once again proving its strategic geo location in the area, but this time as a European haven for refugees.

It is said that there are as much as 16,000 french nationals registered with the embassy and some 8000 french tourists and the US administration puts the number of US citizens in Lebanon at around 25,000. Just with those 2 countries it's a lot of people to move around within a few days.
